I went to an unusual place last night out near my work in Las Colinas. My friend Shane (Govinda) played the violin on top of a mixture of his eclectic tribal and indigenous instrumentals. Govinda is from Austin, TX and has a following that extends that. He has toured with groups such as Thievery Corporation, Sphongle, STS9, and many more. I was basically at a rave hosting numerous performers and styles. I don’t remember the last time I saw so many young kids out that late and didn’t realize that pacifiers were still cool.
